The goal of this project was to get a deeper level of understanding direct and indirect interactions through design. This was to be showcased through an interactive prototype.
TangiTales is an interactive storytelling experience for children to enjoy with their parents. It needs input from the children for the story to progress and it adapts the story to the behaviour of the children, how active they are.
TangiTales is a physical book with physical characters. The story is projected onto the book and sensors are used to identify the pages, the characters and the location of the characters (x,y,z).
With this the children are invited to play along with the story to really make it come to life.
For an example see the video, this is a video of the actual working prototype.
This project has been featured at the ID’13 exhibition at the Dutch Design week 2013.
